How long does a portrait painting workshop take?
Our regular portrait painting workshops generally take around 3.5 to 4 hours, giving you time to work on your painting and enjoy the experience without feeling rushed. Pet portrait workshops may allow additional time because of the detail involved. Check the individual workshop listing for its duration and any specific details.
How much does a portrait painting workshop cost?
Our regular portrait painting workshops are priced at $150 per person. Special experiences, such as our Saturday Night Special and pet portrait workshops, have different pricing. Visit our workshop booking page for current prices, available dates and inclusions before booking.
Can I attend a portrait painting workshop on my own?
Of course! You don’t need to bring a friend to enjoy a Poppin’ Painting workshop. Coming on your own is a lovely way to enjoy some creative me-time, learn something new and meet other people in a relaxed environment. You’re welcome to join us solo or book with friends and family.
What should I bring to a painting workshop?
Just bring yourself and a photo if you’d like to paint a personalised portrait. We provide the painting materials and equipment needed for the workshop. What happens if I don’t finish my painting during the workshop?
There’s no need to panic if your portrait needs a little more work. If you haven’t finished during a regular workshop, you can arrange to return to the studio to continue painting, subject to availability. Additional painting time is $50 per hour. It projects your chosen image onto the canvas, giving you a visual guide while you paint.
